I like seeing him in the interview, and I'm guessing it'll be a running theme for Laney to meet with all members of the Crew in person. I wasn't expecting Crest to be a non-native speaker, but looking back, it makes sense from his way of speaking. Also, liked the touch of him enjoying sensory deprivation.
Tommy really got the short end of the stick on the chore department, but I think he needs to work his way up to the top. Not all slaves can start as the bed warmer for their master, haha!

I have to wonder just how long Luke had to restrain himself (pun intended) from tying the Crew before the interview to ensure no rope marks were visible!
Good to see Tommy is still being taught humility and that he has some way to go before being fully trusted. I hope the apology was sincere and that he sees that this could be a positive step being part of the crew
@bond_G I know that I personally would not want to be in Tommy's position right now, given his position in the chore hierarchy! But you're right that it is nice to see Tommy making his own way into the group! I am definitely looking forward to having Tommy spend time with the other Crew as well!
@DeeperThanRed I love finally getting to explore the Crew backstories! I feel like I've been teasing it for so long! You also guess correctly, we'll begin to see the other Crew interviews as the story continues! We are also going to explore more of what makes the Crew members tick and what gets them going! And sadly, yes, it'll be a bit of time before Tommy graduates to bed warmer- there are already too many fighting for that position as is!
@Volobond As you well know, there are plenty of ways to restrain a guy without leaving rope marks! Lots of leather was employed before the interviews- sleepsacks, straitjackets, armbinders, even leather cuffs! Nothing will stop Luke from making sure his Slaves are properly bound and gagged!
@blackbound well, Haze has already claimed the white/gray color, but rest assured, Tommy will get his own eventually! Also, worry not, the cupholder portion of the gag you used in your story will be making an appearance here before too long!
@Socksbound We are still early enough in our story that its not wrong to doubt Tommy's sincerity. Luke is certainly taking no chances! But you're right, that hopefully some good ol fashioned humility will go a long way in helping Tommy move closer to acceptance!
Thanks for taking the time to read and comment, everyone! I'm glad everyone is enjoying getting to know Crest a bit more and as well as getting to see more of Tommy's training! Lots more to look forward to in the next chapter! (which hopefully will be out sometime next week!)
After some time away I come back to several back-to-back chapters of this mesmerizing tale!
The interplay between the crew members is fascinating and it was a welcome gift to learn more about Crest.
As Tommy begins his deeper training, it makes me wonder what his niche in the Crew will be. Oh, Luke will find a set of responsibilities in the house, of course. But beyond that? What will his "name" be? I don't think calling him "Thief" will fly with the TV viewers. And what of his color? I'm getting a red vibe, personally. And what will he do in the Crew? What home remodelling skills does he have? Carpentry? Asphalt and paving? Masonry? We will have to see. Although Tommy has a while before he's ready to be on-camera.
And I adore the interview epigrams. It's a marvellous way to frame the chapters and give us more insight into the characters. I'm a little jealous, lol.
