I am a straight guy and a male-bondage fan, with out without women involved, but preferably with women-in-charge. By that I mean that since I want to be the one tied-up, I enjoy mostly F/M and M/M stories and scenes, and I like to imagine (head-canon) that in most M/M stories and scenes, there is a head-Female orchestrating the activities even if the story or scene in no way implies it.

So, I'm not "into" guys for sexual games, but I am game to play with guys in a friendly spirit or even competitive-sportsmanship. So my feeling about M/F stories and scenes is not from the perspective you ask; however, I do enjoy the occasional playful M/F stories and scenes, where I can imagine the tables turning eventually. I've even developed a liking for F/F stories.

So, to answer the last part of your question "Can you enjoy the guy doing the tying despite a woman being the target?", my answer is yes. I can. I can imagine being the woman being tied, not myself as the woman, but myself in place of the woman, even if it is a guy doing the tying instead of a woman. Whether elements of cross-dressing are involved or not (is the guy doing the tying feminizing my masculine form or not) depends on my mood.

For me personally, it boils down to "I want to be the one tied-up." Scenarios, clothing, boundaries, and other modalities differ based on who the rigger is and their relation to me, but yes, I can enjoy a well acted scene regardless of rigger/riggee.

I’m able to enjoy both female & male bondage (provided it’s the sort of “light” bondage I enjoy).

As some stated, it’s not that I find the guys attractive / being gay; it’s more that I am able to place myself mentally in their predicament to enjoy the fantasy.

That being said, as much as I enjoy being kidnapped; I admit that women look far better tied & gagged (better gag talkers, too).

I’m pretty okay with the captor being either male or female, depending on what the situation calls for.

Being straight, I don’t typically enjoy things that can be more overtly sexual when it comes to M/M stories (to be frank, I don’t have to have it in F/M or M/F stories to enjoy either)

For most situations, I prefer to be submissive, so that leads me to imagine myself in the hero/heroines perspective of being the one bound.

I definitely still enjoy seeing men bound and gagged too, and it’s even easier to envision myself in such a situation, but that’s a different feeling/sense of enjoyment I get than the one I get seeing a woman tied up and gagged or trying to speak through a gag, where I can enjoy the dominance/top side of things a bit more with that extra layer.

TLDR:
In any story I read, I can put myself in the shoes of the person being bound, so at the end of the day, I don’t discriminate.

The biggest thing I want to do with this post despite having "vs" im the title is an alliance that is regardless of sexual orientation. While being straight or not into M/M scenes I know exactly how everyone feels about mainstream scenes. We are all the same apart from who is in bondage, for if it's "in distress" or just "for laughs". This is why when I run into M/M scenes I share them with the lovely Dudecap folks.

I don't look for bondage scene to be sexual at all, the further I go is kissing on the gag or boob touching but that's mostly it.
I like clothes in scenes more than nudity. I do like some cross dressing involved in F/M scenes. I love how bras look and also huge fan of big earrings, hoop or pearl etc. And more accessories like headbows and such. The reason I find the female scenes as more good looking is because I don't view any male clothes as sexy. As far as I'm concerned we have no sexy underwear (unlike women). I can recognize which guy is good looking, I feel sexy in a 3 piece suit, but I don't find it sexy by itself while just entering an underwear shop just to see empty bras hanging is intriguing.
Usually the only M/F with cross dressing I'd like to see is me playing the dom girl.

For the most part I'm heavily into F/F. I'm also into M/F, but typically if the female is the one being tied up. The side of me that's heavily into femdom however enjoys seeing a guy tied up if the female is seductive enough to make me wish I was that guy.

Crossdressing and/or feminization throws a few wrenches into the mix. As a guy, it'd absolutely have to be a female to tie me up. However, on occasions that I'm dressed up whether actually or thinking about the scenario I'm slightly more open. I'd definitely prefer a female but bondage is such a turn on for me that the thought of being tied in stringent ties especially dressed up sometimes overpowers my preferences . It's a bizarre thing I'm recently discovering about myself, but I look at some bondage ties and positions and it puts me into a mood where I don't care who ties me up to get bound in that scenario. I've even entertained the thought of being bound with another crossdresser but only with a hot female pulling the strings for her own amusement. And even then there are definitive lines I don't want crossed.

This reminds me of a couple of really good forced feminization artists on DA. They have some scenarios where I'm like "No way in hell that could be me," but then I see others where I go "I'm not sure why but something about that actually looks like a interesting experience".

Funny you should mention FM Concepts:

Right around the time my interest in TUGS led me to actively look for shows, movies, and books with DiD, soft bondage, etc…

…I discovered images on Google for Cindy Schubert, an early model for FM Concepts.

Of course, it wasn’t the FM website that had the photos…it was a pop culture journalism site called “Smoking Gun” doing a puff piece on the actress, and her apparent bondage work.
