That's pretty much the kind of thing I figured was going on. That and maybe a lot of discussions. Especially if the university approves, they're going to be very strict about what's actually allowed for legal purposes, if nothing else.ExcessivelyCurious wrote: 1 year ago My university has one, and I've attended some of their events. It was predictably a bit of a hassle to get approved, but went through all the proper procedures and passed fine. I still hear a lot of people being surprised it exists, and there have been plenty of entirely inaccurate rumours spread about it.
In truth, being an official SU-approved club puts quite a lot of rules and restrictions in place. Some of these are sensible health and safety things, others less logical. Other than generic socials (as with most uni societies), the main events were rope workshops - educational classes on how to do safe rope bondage. Useful stuff, but not as exciting as a lot of people seem to imagine. Although some people certainly met through the society, and who knows what they got up to in their own free time.
I was referring to SU as in "student union".CathD wrote: 1 year agoSU? or SM?ExcessivelyCurious wrote: 1 year ago My university has one, and I've attended some of their events.
