I’m feeling pretty embarrassed and could use some support. Here’s my story:

I’m 32 and have been into bondage for as long as I can remember. I love being tied up and fully immobilized. My fiancée shares this interest, and we play together. Recently, she went out of town for a week. During her absence, I had a weekend off and decided to duct tape myself to a chair for fun. I taped my feet, legs, and wrapped myself completely to a low-back wooden chair. I only had one problem: I couldn’t tie my arms or hands.

Here’s where it gets awkward. I decided to text my fiancée’s mom, who lives nearby, to let her know in case I couldn’t free myself. I said, “Look, this is super embarrassing, but I tied myself up in tape as a joke and wanted to let you know in case I can’t get free. I have scissors and an escape plan, but I just wanted someone nearby to know.”

My intention was to have her play along and be amused by the situation. I hoped she might even tie me up tighter after making sure I was safe and leave for a bit. Instead, she offered to help free me, which wasn’t what I wanted. I quickly told her I could get free and tried to laugh it off.

I understand this can be taken as inappropriate, and I won’t say it isn’t, but that wasn’t my intention. I’m just really anxious about how this might affect things with my fiancée and her mom. Any advice on how to handle this or if anyone’s been in a similar situation?
