And this this new chapter left me with some questions about the last Ivan´s photo found by Vince. Ivan could be an excelent actor playing a kidnapped boy role, with his dirty clothes, but at same time could be some disturbing.

I'm on hold about next update chapter.
Thank You so much

The next day, things were more organized at Vince's new house. The electricians and technicians had repaired the electricity and installed Wi-Fi and cable television. Vince was determined to investigate what really happened in that house more than 20 years ago. The most logical thing to do was to ask his mother for information about the previous owner of the house. His mother didn't give him much information, only that the previous owner was a woman in her sixties, more or less. But Vince kept insisting, asking for the woman's phone number and name.

"Why do you need all that information?"

"Well, Mom, you know, it's good to do a little research on the previous owners of the house you bought. What if someone committed a murder here?"

"You have such an imagination. Mrs. Diaz is a woman who just wants peace, so don't even think about bothering her."

Vince's mother refused to give him any more information about the former owner of the house, so he started searching the internet for cases of child abductions between 1999 and 2011 that had occurred in that town. Unfortunately, none of the results matched what he was looking for. While snooping around the house, Vince found the door to the basement and, upon opening it, found a wooden staircase leading down into the darkness. Feeling along the wall, Vince found the light switch and turned on the lights. He descended very slowly as the steps creaked under his sneakers. The basement was a place full of cardboard boxes and a lot of useless stuff. Remembering the last thing he read in Ivan's diary, he began to search for a ring protruding from the wall. With the flashlight on his phone, he illuminated the dark corners and finally found the old, rusty metal ring nailed to the wall. Vince brushed it with his fingers, imagining Ivan 20 years ago chained in that place. He then continued searching for more clues, managing to find a shelf full of rolls of duct tape and rope. Vince's heart suddenly raced. He picked up one of those heavy rolls of duct tape that, despite the passage of time, were still intact. He really wanted to know what it felt like to be tied up and gagged, and unable to contain himself, he tore off a long piece of silver duct tape. As the sound of the tape filled the room, he slowly stuck it over his mouth and felt a wave of excitement that shook his whole body. His muffled voice was trapped under the sticky piece of duct tape that kept his lips sealed.

"So this is how Ivan felt?" Vince thought as his fingers rubbed his sealed lips. He remained like that for a few minutes until he heard his mother's voice calling him from upstairs. He quickly peeled off the piece of tape, praying to heaven that it hadn't left a red mark on his face, and went upstairs. Luckily, his mother didn't notice the red mark from the tape on his mouth, and Vince continued exploring the house. The diary was hidden among his school notebooks in his backpack.

When his mother left, Vince took advantage of being alone and began searching for information about the former owner of the house. After several minutes, he finally found a notebook with the woman's phone number. He knew it was her because of the last name Diaz. The woman answered and kindly responded to Vince's questions when he told her he was the son of the new owner of the house. The woman said that she had owned the house for over 30 years but had never lived there. However, she used to rent it out to people who went on vacation to the town. She said that there was a regular customer who always rented the house. When Vince asked her for information about that customer, she refused to give him any more information, for security and ethical reasons.

Vince was now very confused. Meanwhile, outside the house, there was a black car parked and a man watching the house from outside. The man was wearing black leather gloves and smoking. Vince returned to his room and, convinced that he had not yet thoroughly searched the place, began to move the furniture around. Behind a wardrobe, he found a hollow space in the wall and, tapping it with a hammer, discovered a small compartment. Inside that small compartment were a number of objects: a roll of worn adhesive tape, long pieces of rolled-up rope, some dusty photographs, and a red ball gag, similar to the one Ivan had described in his diary. Vince was about to look at the photos when the sound of footsteps coming up the stairs stopped him in his tracks. Vince crouched down, listened carefully, and shouted:

"Mom, is that you?"

There was no answer, so Vince stood up and peeked through the door. He could barely see an arm wrapping around his body and a gloved hand covering his mouth. Instinctively, Vince began to fight against the powerful arms holding him, kicking and twisting his thin body. His attempts were in vain; he couldn't break free, and the man dragged him out of the house.
