Well Darlinâ€™ I wasnâ€™t disagreeing with your ATAR assessment, just was an amusing jab that happened to also sting a little, though my degree does reduce it

And while character assassination is not on my mind, Iâ€™ll happily indulge in some casual sadism and enjoy your (deserved) suffering

Also amusingly enough the one time I had to get a dislocated toe reset I was complaining about Math Methods to distract from the pain

[mention]OrdinaryWorld[/mention] I'll forgive your opening line for making me feel old and it does explain how you've managed to capture moody teenager very well!

A great final part that once again put a smile on my face as I read it. Also educational with regards to the Australian school system although I'm surprised (and jealous) that they let you drop PE so early! I have to say though I feel our narrator got what he deserved!

I hope your success with this little tale encourages you to keep writing. You definitely have a unique voice and style that I very much enjoy reading. Great work!

Nice ending! Now I'm looking forwards to a narrator/Ethan story, of course

*Starts chanting CROSSOVER, CROSSOVER, CROSSOVER!*

Anyway, where was I? Ah, yes, the story. Those socks seem absolutely foul, I understand the reluctance there. But if Mr. Narrator had learned when to keep his mouth shut, he probably could have avoided it. Now he just got a little bit of sticky help to reinforce the lesson.

Love the tidbits of information and the general nerdiness that the narrator emanates. As a historian, I can identify with that.

If only I had an older brother like that walking around somewhere...

...though I will admit this was perhaps a tad harsh - those socks look disgusting!

But, as they say, don't do the crime if you can't do the time!

The poor narrator! but with all that grandstanding? The complaining? the passive aggressive attitude? Yeah no sorry. He definitely needed a sock filled mouth and an attitude adjustment!

Great story!! I pretty much enjoy each of the chapters. Hahahah yeahhh the narrator is bound to be gagged but I do feel sorry for him. Chris' socks look pretty nasty! Loved the images also!

Awesome story, I think I had missed chapter 2 but got all caught up!! But this was a great story, definitely got me hooked and wanting more!! Hope we get to see more soon!

Interesting to see the B&G universe grow a little bit and from a different perspective!

Well I believe the narrator had it coming to him. Had he'd been my little brother and walked in front of the TV while while myself and a friend were gaming and mouthed off too, yeah you might just be in a similar situation. Luckily I'm a reasonable guy and wouldn't be to mean unless you kept digging yourself a deeper hole

Overall, this was a very good start to writing and I hope to see more in the future!!

My degree is actually a Bachelor of Arts: Politics and International Relations.
Stick with Methods, itâ€™s a pain and I hated it but itâ€™s doable and you get a nice bit of scaling for it. Youâ€™ll do fine, just remember stuff like Khan Academy and donâ€™t be afraid to ask for help with concepts your unsure of. Provided you understand the basic concepts youâ€™ll do fine.

And I'm quite on the left of the whole political spectrum, so more GroenLinks (GL, our Greens). But PvdA is also perfectly fine, they don't differ all that much anymore nowadays. You didn't pick the easiest country, politically seen, with our 17 (or 18 by now) political parties!

And it seems like our narrator isn't the only one with a big mouth, looking at the conversation above

If you do well enough their are options. Specifically you can gun for graduate programs (give them a look they advertise early in the year and require you to either finish or be finishing a degree). Iâ€™d look with DFAT or DPMC. Or you can try and get policy work if you specialise better than I did

To for extracurricular stuff like mock UN meetings and ask lecturers and tutors for advice theyâ€™ll help you, especially if you show you care.
Honestly do what you love and youâ€™ll find a way to work it. Even if you donâ€™t manage to get a job in a related field, youâ€™ll get a better paying job quicker by virtue of having a degree. Which may give experience to get one you prefer more or youâ€™ll find an area that will surprise you by how much you enjoy it.
