Part 8

Even though some had been set aside for her – and Ben too – it was pure torture for Lara not to be able to eat any of the cake for the time being. After all, she'd always been a sweet tooth, and the smell alone massively stimulated the saliva production in her taped-up mouth. On the one hand, she wished the tape over her lips would be removed so she could at least get a few crumbs of cake between her teeth. On the other hand, she was glad her mouth was taped shut, otherwise she would have started drooling like a baby.

Ben, on the other hand, was too far away and too isolated in his sarcophagus for the smell of the cake to reach him. He was also far too preoccupied with his emotions in his coffin prison to think about food. But he knew his mother was monitoring his vitals on her cell phone and he was absolutely safe.

When the guests had finished eating, the mother explained the rules of the game: There were two groups—scientists and grave robbers—both searching for the mummy of the legendary pharaoh 'BEN TUCK TIMINBED,' whom some people believed never lived. And those who believed in his existence firmly claimed that the tomb was cursed.

Well, as we know, the curse had already claimed one victim: poor Lara was condemned to eternal silence and fasting. Or was there a way to break the curse?

When the rules of the game had been explained and accepted, the mother asked the kids: "Do you want to play boys against girls, or should we draw lots for the teams?"

What do you think?

It all depends on if the girls have Cooties or not, if they do then the teams must be separated, if they dont mix them up.

Part 9

Naturally, the children decided it would be the ultimate battle of the sexes – boys versus girls. However, since both preferred the role of grave robbers to that of scientists, a round of rock, paper, scissors had to decide. Lara won this round against Thomas.

Of course, Thomas garnished his defeat with a few mocking comments like, "That was pure luck!" "Hmmmpf!" Lara cried. And even the other boys chimed in. "That's mean, Thomas. Lara can't defend herself at the moment! Let's look for clues instead! But where?"

The mother handed team captains Lara and Thomas each an encrypted treasure map and said: "In the first round, you will search for a box containing materials that you will need in your role as scientists and grave robbers, respectively. Have fun – and here's to a fair fight!" Both teams watched it with anticipation.

Suddenly, Lara snapped her fingers and looked her female teammates deep in the eyes. "Do you have a clue, Lara?" whispered Mia, after all, she didn't want to give the boys any clues herself. "Hmmmph!" Lara nodded. Tanja sighed deeply. "What good is the smartest team captain if a curse prevents her from sharing her findings with us?"

Thomas heard these words and saw an opportunity to get revenge for his defeat in rock, paper, scissors. "Perhaps the curse can be broken by tickling?"

Lara looked at Ben's mother in horror - but the referee said: "As long as the tape isn't removed from your mouth, anything goes!" But Mia protested. "That's unfair!" Lara looked at her gratefully. Mia continued: "If anything, one of her feet has to be tickled by a boy and the other foot by a girl at the same time! But right afterwards, every gender fights for itself, right!"

Not exactly what Lara wanted to hear. But due to the curse, her possibilities to protest were very limited...

The curse of the Dratted Mouth Tape will plague Lara for at least 30,000 seconds, Oh Well, there are feet to be tickled.

Part 10

Lara had no chance – more and more children pounced on her. She was already lying on her stomach. Two of the children knelt on her arms to pin them to the ground, while Thomas and Mia knelt on her thighs. Lara was pinned to the ground, unable to move at all. Not that she wanted to!

Thomas said, "Stop fidgeting, Lara. If we can't break the curse this way, we'll have to feed you to the Pharaoh's sacred crocodiles!" One of the children went into the bedroom and returned with two ties belonging to Ben's father.

Since Lara, curious about what the two were up to, only resisted formally, the children had no trouble tying Lara's hands behind her back with the ties. The second tie secured Lara's bare feet, with the children pulling the tie once between her bound hands to achieve a secure hogtie.

Christine said: "OK, Lara—if that's even your real name! Now it's time to break the curse! Laughter—or crocodiles!" Lara watched in horror as the children lined up. Christine's little fingers were the first to approach her bare feet very very soon...

Part 11

Lara tensed all her muscles. She wouldn't last ten seconds without bursting out laughing—she was certain of it.

She tried to pull her feet away, but she was bound too tightly. The very first contact of her torturers' fingers with the skin of her sensitive bare soles made her squeal, but the tape still shut her mouth permanently so it wasn't too loud.

"Shut up! This is blasphemy!" Thomas shouted, but Lara couldn't do anything to suppress the urge to laugh.

After two more minutes of tickling, which felt like hours to Lara, Ben called out, "That's enough. Prepare the sacrificial ceremony—and bring in the crocodile!"

Lara was surprised that the tape didn't just fell off her mouth during tickling her. She was stunned, but also relaxed - because knew there wasn't a real crocodile waiting for her. But what instead? She waited anxiously until her torturer disappeared into the next room. A faint barking reached her ear.
