I hope there is more and that this is not the end. In mare ways than one.

The Rescue:

I blink at the bright morning light. Gathering my senses, I realize it is much warmer now and this place looks familiar. I am sitting with my back against a tree, my hands duct taped together behind it. I start to struggle, but there is no way to get out. Looking closer at my surroundings, I realize that I am back in the parking lot of my new workplace at the enchanted forest sanctuary. A huge wave of relieve hits me, as I realize I might after all get out of this alive. So it was apparently a ransom and my kidnapper brought me back home. Being tied to the tree is suddenly not bothering me that much any more, as I just have to wait a little while longer for my colleagues to arrive and free me.

Soon I hear a car approaching, two of my colleagues inside. They look shocked when they see me after getting out of the car, but comfort me immediately. One of them gets a scissor and frees my hands. Only when I am handed a blanket, I realize I am still in underwear and bra, but for now I could not care less.

Soon after that, the police comes in and questions and examines me, but how are they ever going to find that guy with a mask, that never spoke a word with me? Learning it is friday morning already means I have been away for almost a week. After that I am brought back home to my best friend, who was of course worried sick. Oh hell, this is going to take a long time to get over, but for now this whole nightmare is finally over.

Later that day I learn, that it was indeed a ransom and my father paid half a million dollars to get me back home safe. 500k I wonder, my parents are not exactly poor, but they sure do not have that amount of money? Something is very odd here, will I ever be ready to find out the truth, or should I just let it all go? A nagging feeling in the back of my head makes me curious about it, but well maybe another day.

This doesn't feel like 'The End.' Anyway, I certainly hope not. Great story.
