I definitely understand your point. It is very very important to establish trust in any Relationship let alone Dom/Sub. But you have to remember this is a work of fiction. Granted this narrative has been developing for YEARS so it is very easy to personalize and humanize everything that we as readers have been reading for this long. But in the simplest terms, this is fiction. It’s a way for us to vicariously live out and experience our deep fantasies without actually enacting them and putting ourselves or others at risk from lack of communication or trust.

I like to see Steven trying even harder to please Nick, I see myself in his place, I usually always complain about things, but in the end I always see that I just have to do my best to please my dom.

I'm still suspicious of Jeremy's surprise return, as much as I like to see Jeremy with Zack, there's something that tells me that things won't be so easy for these two

It's actually strangely rewarding for me to hear that one of my readers is trying to so completely put himself in Steven's shoes, that he's trying to act out the scenes as he's reading along.

I think what Trainedsub is saying definitely has merit.
As the author though, I do have some added insight into the characters, and it's important to remember that Steven's mention of porn is not at all comparison.

I'd seen my share of gay porn.
I knew that if Nick posted a video of us online, I'd get roasted and badmouthed by the hoards of subs willing to pay handsomely just to switch places with me.

Unsurprisingly, Brad is the least empathic, followed by Shawn and Nick.

Steven and Jeremy both score slightly below average foot odour.
Brad scores above average with fairly strong foot odour.
Zack suffers from very serious male foot odour.
Nick and Shawn both suffer from extreme foot odour problems, with Nick's being the worst.



On the subject of foot odour tolerance, Steven and Jeremy both seem to tolerate different levels of potency.

The discussions the two boys had shortly after meeting one another a few weeks ago (in their timeline) was pretty revealing of how they each felt.

According to Jeremy, Brad's socks and shoes were terribly smelly and his foot odour was almost unbearable.

If it came down to if for real, I'm fairly certain Brad's socks would suddenly find themselves in very high demand

I admit that my foot odor tolerance scale is the same as Jeremy's, I believe 1-10 is my average, anything beyond that is beyond my comfort zone. But obviously this scale is not my limit, I have a love-hate relationship with strong body odors

I'm not much of a sub, and even less into foot odors - I think I'm the most aligned with Jeremy's foot odor tolerance - anything beyond 10 impedes my joy factor. I don't even have very smelly feet myself!

I think my number would be 11

While I can be very submissive at times, I'd probably have to say 11 or 12 would be my limit. No amount of submissiveness can override a gag reflex.
