On the upper-right corner of the forum, your username appears. Clicking on the little arrow next to it grants you access to your User Control Panel. As for story photos, as is the case on virtually all forums, you need to host your photos somewhere (eg: Flickr, Deviant Art, etc). Once they are hosted online, it's merely a question of using the "Insert Image" button and copy/pasting their URL links. Take some time to experiment.

Hi followed this board on the old site for a couple of years then it vanished. Just found this again.

Hi not really sure what to say here and despite being very happily married and submissive to a long time member who regularly contributes he never posted a welcome to the site board so he’s no help

I'm honestly surprised that you guys are so surprised. This is an English-language forum, populated in most part by native speakers. The UK is the world's second biggest population centre for native English speakers after the US. It makes sense that roughly 25%-33% of the active membership here would be from Great Britain.
Just my observation as a non-Brit who has, for the past 15 years, been faced with the puzzling astonishment of Brits every time they meet another Brit on here Brits and Americans make up roughly 75% of the active membership. You guys are very numerous here
