Andrew (the one locked up in the cell on the left) and Lucas (the one imprisoned in the cell on the right) had been playing tie-up games together for two years, and over time they had more and more new ideas and tried out their wildest fantasies. They were 16 years old, so they were already older teenagers who enjoyed quite a lot of independence. However, they both definitely preferred to be restrained rather than restrain their friend. And what they wanted most was to be restrained together at the same time.
This summer, their obsession became not so much about the restraining as being locked up and imprisoned for long hours in dark and cramped chests, car trunks, and basement storage rooms. Their favourite place to play was two small, barred storage rooms that looked exactly like small prison cells, although they certainly were not. These rooms were located in the basement of a former workshop at the far back of the private property where Andrew's house stood. The place was remote and unvisited, and the workshop itself had been unused and closed for years.
Andrew and Lukas played prison there, handcuffing each other, locking in a small cell and leaving alone in the darkness for hours, only to return and release him in the evening. It was exceptionally intense and exciting game, and each boy preferred to be a prisoner rather than a guard. What they fantasised about most was being locked up there together for the whole day.
That was when Lucas made his crazy proposal.
- Why don't we ask Alex?
- My brother? You're nuts!
- Why?
- 'Cause he's my YOUNGER brother!
- Exactly! If there's anyone we can trust, it's probably him.
Andrew's expression clearly showed his disapproval of the idea.
- You know, we could always ask your dad… - Lucas continued, but immediately stopped when Andrew shot him a piercing look.
