How about throughout the evening each person at the party is tied up and has to free themselves in 12 minutes? Or 24 if you wanted more time. Those that don’t get free in time could face a lighthearted forfeit at midnight to start ...

This was really good, I enjoyed the farcical nature of it as the coincidences all come back to the necklace. Its nicely left open too for the curse to be passed on should you wish.
