Nice start, with a talented family, and a possibly unexacting neighbour.

So many ways this could go, and all of them interesting.

Fun story with quite a bit of potential, should you care to expand upon it, which I hope you will.

As stated above, why does Mum have to explain anything?

It's not as if he can ask where everything came from, even if he's given that much thought (or wants to)? :lol:

She could say literally anything, like she's "looking after them for someone", "found them", "they were there when they moved ...
